I have been teaching at the University of the Basque Country since 1991, when I completed my Ph.D. at the University of Pennsylvania. I was also an undergraduate student at the University of the Basque Country.

I have taught a number of courses on micro, macro, finance, statistics, math, econometrics, time series, monetary economics, economic growth, labor economics and
causal inference.

My research is mostly on empirical economics applied to a wide range of fields such as international finance, labor economics, the economics of conflict,
forced displacement, educational measurement or psychometrics, cultural economics and growth.
