De la Cruz-Pavía doktoreak ikertuko du begietaratzen den informazioak egiten duen lana hizkeraren segmentazioan eta hitzordenaren jabekuntzan. Arpegiko keinuek entzutezko prosodiari nola laguntzen dioten ikertuko du, bai hizkera segmentatzeko eta baita sintaxiaren lehen garapenean. Horretarako hizkuntza artifizialen paradigma erabiliko du, eta heldu eta haur elebidun eta elebakarrak esperimentalki aztertuko ditu. Ikerketa honek aurrera egiten lagunduko digu hizkuntzaren prozesamenduan aurpegiaren ikusizko informazioak egiten duen lana hobeto ulertzen, eta baita sintaxiaren garapenean abian dabiltzan mekanismo kognitiboak azaleratzen..
