Course on the green economy
Beatriz Fernández de Manuel and Nekane Castillo, representing the UNESCO Chair, will give a talk titled Ecosystem Services in the Basque Country on November 21st at 11:30 as part of the Green Economy course organised by the EKOPOL research group (Green Economy and Political Ecology) and the Applied Economics III and Thermal Machinery and Engines departments.
The course provides an introduction to the green economy—a multi-disciplinary field of study which uses dialogue between disciplines to address today’s complex problems, in turn enriching the traditional economic analysis framework with knowledge from other fields including biology, physics, chemistry, geology, sociology and others. The course also features a careers session where participants can find professional opportunities in the green economy.
