Last week, our colleagues Begoña Altuna, María Jesús Aranzabe, and Arantza Diaz de Ilarraza were awarded in Murcia with the best paper award in the 33rd INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE OF THE SPANISH SOCIETY FOR NATURAL LANGUAGE PROCESSING (SEPLN 2017)

Ixa Group awarded with the Abbadia Prize

Last December, Ixa Group was awarded with the Abbadia Prize by the Gipuzkoan Provincial Government.

This prize is given every two years to the institutions and people who work in the normalisation of Basque language.

According to the governmental website, the prize was given in the recognition of the new tools created for Basque.

Iñigo Lopez Gazpio receives the Best Academic Record Award in Computer Science 2013

Our colleague Iñigo Lopez Gazpio obtained last week the Best Academic Record Award in Computer Science (engineering track) at the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU) for the academic year 2012-2013.

Some IXA members participated in the Natural Language Processing, Text Mining and Big Data Hackathon organised by our colleagues from the OpeNER project. And they obtained excellent results:
