The Central Analysis Service of Bizkaia of SGIker has a new analyzer of total organic carbon by catalytic oxidation at high temperature and detection NDIR of Shimadzu.

The equipment allows measurements of total carbon (TC), inorganic carbon (IC), total organic carbon (TOC), non-purgeable organic carbon (NPOC) and total nitrogen (TN).

It has a TNM-L unit for the simultaneous measurement of TOC (total organic carbon) and TN (total nitrogen). Also, it has a kit for samples of high salt content.

At present, the equipment is giving service to several researches related to studies of ecology of fluvial systems, in relation to the area of ​​environment, and studies of interaction between superplasticizing polymers and cements in water phase, in relation to the area of ​​materials.
