Iker PÉREZ DE ALBÉNIZ

Iker Pérez de Albéniz received the M.S. Degree in Telecommunications Engineering from the University of Deusto, Spain, in 2005. From 2006 to 2011 he worked in diferent companies like Sarenet, Innovalia or Panda Security in the area of R&D.

In 2012 he joined the Signal Processing and Radiocommunications(TSR) research group at the Department of Electronics and Telecommunications of the University of the Basque Country, where he works in tasks involved with second generation DVB-T2 system testing and software development.

He is currently working for Fon.

Gorka FIEL

Gorka Fiel received his MSc degree in Telecommunications Engineering from the University of the Basque Country, Spain, in 2007. During the last year of his graduate formation he studied in École Nationale Supérieure des Télécommunications de Bretagne, France, and worked as a satellite communications researcher in the French space agency (CNES). He worked at the Department of Electronics and Telecommunications of the University of the Basque Country as a broadcast technology researcher, while he pursued his postgraduate studies in mobile technologies.

His interests were focused on several aspects of network planning for digital wireless services.

Specifically, he worked to deliver a report to the ITU-R workgroups (through the DRM consortium) that will be the basis for future 26MHz related decissions, recommendations and other documents that will be produced by the ITU. Its contents will be a compendium of all the currently available results of studies, measurement campaigns and simulations for this particular band, including: network characteristics, propagation phenomena, system performance and thresholds, coverage aspects and potential interference sources. Suitability of present recommendations for system planning will also be analyzed.

Mikel IDIRIN

Mikel Idirin received the M.Sc. degree in telecommunications engineering and Advanced Studies Diploma (DEA) on Electronic Technology from the University of the Basque Country (UPV-EHU), Spain, in 2003 and 2006 respectively. From 2003 to 2007 he worked for P4Q Electronics S.L. (Alonsotegi, Spain) as HW&SW design engineer, involved into different industrial and automotive projects. Afterwards, he joined the Gipuzkoa Center for Technical Research (CEIT) as Associated Researcher, where he was focused on the area of Electronics for Train Communications.

In November 2008 he came back to TSR Research Group as Electronic designer. He worked in the area of the application of FPGAs for the Broadcast Communications.

He is currently working for SoC-e (www.soc-e.com), in the expertise areas of FPGA and embedded systems

Carlos FERNÁNDEZ

Carlos Fernández received the BSE degree in both Telecommunications Systems and Telematics from the University of the Basque Country, Spain in 2004 and 2006, respectively. He joined TSR Research Group at the Department of Electronics and Telecommunications of the University of the Basque Country, where he is currently a researcher. He later obtained the M.S. degree in Telecommunication Engineering. His research interests focused on measurement and reception systems for new digital broadcasting technologies. He participated in the development of a software-based DVB-T/H test receiver and a DVB-T2 transmitter and receiver, along with the usual tasks of a system manager in the TSR laboratory environment.

He is currently working for INDRA.
