Being my academic background quite diverse, I have worked on both the theoretical aspects of linguistics, as well as on the more practical and empirical aspects of psycholinguistics and cognitive linguistics: to develop the latter aspect, I undertook an internship at the University of Pompeu Fabra in Barcelona (2016-2017), followed by another one at the Max Planck Institute for Psycholinguistics in Nijmegen (2017).
I also have experience in literatures, foreign cultures, foreign languages, second language teaching, and text revision/editing.
I am now a PhD candidate under the supervision of Prof. Itziar Laka at the Department of Linguistics and Basque Studies, and member of The Bilingual Mind research group at the University of Basque Country (UPV/EHU).
My PhD project tackles a pivotal question in linguistics and psycholinguistics: is parsing universal? Do people develop different parsing strategies, depending of their own languages’ characteristics? I will investigate this by analysing the syntactic processing of relative and pseudo-relative phrases in Basque, Spanish, Italian, and English, and the alleged role of pseudo-relatives in determining whether a language could be “high” or “low” in its preferred attachment.

Research interests: psycholinguistics; bilingualism; second-language learning and teaching; syntax; event-related potentials; language typology; attachment.

Languages owned:

Information available in the following link

Education, training and work experiences:

2020
Review published online for Linguist List: https://linguistlist.org/issues/31/31-1340.html

2019

Participation in the science dissemination activities of the Science week fair (Zientziaren, Teknologiaren eta Berrikuntzaren XIX.
