Communications format

Oral communications

Oral presentations will be short communications. Each presenter will present him or herself and have a ten minute turn for the talk. An eight-minute time will then open for questions and comments. Afterwards, the next presenter will take the word. There will not be any coordinator of the session, but a volunteer in the room to assure that all the files are properly uploaded and to control the timing.

The projection that accompanies the oral presentation (ppt, prezi,...) must be written in English. Speakers can use their own language. Attendees will be able to make their questions in their own language  (or in English). There will not be simultaneous translation during the parallel sessions, therefore, the coordinator of the session and the attendees will kindly help the communication among participants.

Arrive to the room 15 minutes before starting the session. Bring the files you will use in a USB device and give it to the volunteer to be loaded to the computer. Yor presentation should be saved in ppt or pptx format, not pps. A pdf version is also recommended to avoid wrong layout/style of your presentation. (The computer works with Microsoft Office 2016 version, usual fonts)

Presentation rooms will be equipped with a computer, LCD projector and screen. If you need to connect an Apple device, please bring the conector with you.Take in mind that the rooms use VGA connection save Mitxelena Auditorium, which uses HDMI connection.

Posters

The posters must have a vertical format, maximum size 80 x 120 cm (31,5 x 47 inch). The authors can select the language for writing their posters, although the organizing committee recomends to do it in English.

Poster presenters may set up their posters in the corresponding room any time after 8:00 am on Thursday, June 13 and will have to collect them before the end of the Conference. Themes will be distributed among the rooms. You will get the information about your room in the conference desk. During the poster session, at least one of the poster presenters should stand by it (June 13, 15:30-16:45) in order to explain the work to any person who would approach.
