DOCENCIA

Teaching

The Department of Mining Engineering and Metallurgy and Materials Science offers teaching at the Engineering School of Bilbao at all of its facilities and at the Engineering School of Vitoria-Gasteiz.

Degree studies

The subjects taught at the Department are centred on different cross-cutting aspects of engineering: materials, metallurgy, and mining, as well as cartography, geodesics and photogrammetry.

As those are engineering disciplines, in all cases, the aim is to combine theoretical training with a clearly practical approach. All with the objective of alignment with a vision that is closer to the industrial world and that is of service to society.

Masters’ Studies

The Department of Mining Engineering and Metallurgy and Materials Science provides teaching in multiple subjects through various University Master’s Courses, non-official degrees such as: Master’s in Advanced Material Engineering and University Master’s in Mining; and external degrees, designed in the context of UPV/EHU postgraduate studies.

Doctorate Studies

Giving continuity to the advanced training of the graduate, oriented towards research and the subsequent development of the Doctoral Thesis, the Department offers a Doctorate Programme in Materials Engineering and Sustainable Processes and, given the interdisciplinary content that is taught through the Department, some of its teachers participate in other doctorate programmes.
