ORDER-STRAIN-SERVICE

Order for a strain or a service

How to order a strain or a service?

The order for a strain or a service is made through the request form, which is found for each of the services after its description. Once the form is completed, it must be sent to the BMCC.

Requesting any service, the user accepts the current rates applicable in each case, these terms of use andrules of the BMCC.

Once the order has been sent, the BMCC will contact the applicant in order to specify the use conditions of the service and to send a budget.

The BMCC reserves the right to invoice all those additional or supplementary works carried out on the requested service. If the budget concepts are modified, the BMCC will inform the applicant of said modifications.

What is the payment form? What will be the delivery period of my order?

After the order, BMCC will send a budget that must be send back signed as an indication of acceptance of it. Then, an invoice will be sent.

Regarding the shipping of the strains, the procedure will be the same, but in addition a MTA (Mutual transfer Agreement ) signed by the legal representative of the organization has to be sent.

The estimated period for said order will be detailed in the budget sent to the user.

Orders of alive material are only shipped on Mondays (or Tuesday following a Monday holiday).

These are the estimated preparation periods for each service:

  • Strainsshipment: 2 weeks
  • Bulkvolumemicroalgaesupply: 3-4 weeks
  • Culture media supply: 3 days
  • Isolation: 2-4 weeks
  • Identification: 1-4 weeks
  • Pigmentanalysis: 1 week

How are the strains shipped?

Once the BMCC receives the budget signed, as an indication of acceptance of it, the order will start to be prepared and the BMCC will contact the user to organize the shipment.

The cost of the shipment will be borne by the user who will also organize the shipment, agreeing in advance with the BMCC the time of collection.

If any type of documentation is necessary for the customs administration of the destination country, it is the responsibility of the user to provide any additional documentation. If the strain arrives dead at the destination due to a shipment being blocked or delayed by customs, the BMCC will not replace the strain free of charge, as it is the user's responsibility to arrange the transfer through customs

The user will be responsible for paying duties, taxes and/or VAT. These expenses will not be included in the invoice, because these fees vary by destination. Many customs agencies require payment of these fees before allowing a package to be cleared through customs. The user must be prepared to do the payment, otherwise the cultures may sit in customs until the payment is made and will perish. Refunds will not be issued on orders that do not clear customs in a timely manner. The BMCC has the right to reject all return shipments.
