Teaching - General vision

The Polymer Science and Technology section (DCYTP) has been in charge of the teaching of several courses in the old curriculum of "Licenciatura in Chemisty" and in the current Degree in Chemistry. Those courses belong to the area of Physical Chemistry, Polymer Science and Technology and Material Science. In the current Degree, some department members give theoretical classes and laboratory work in General Chemistry.

In the 2014-15 academic year, a new official graduate master "Chemistry and Polymers" was established, a new version of the foregoing Masters in Applied Chemistry and Polymeric Materials. This new Masters provides direct access to the PhD Program of Applied Chemistry and Polymeric Materials, which has been awarded a "Certificate of Excellence" by the relevant governmental organisms.

In addition, the Group of Theoretical Chemistry is involved in the University Masters of Theoretical Chemistry and Computational Modelling, a join effort of many European Universities, whose consortium for this purpose has been recognized by the European Chemistry Thematic Network (ECTN). This Masters provides direct access to the PhD studies Theoretical Chemistry and Computational Modelling, also awarded a "Certificate of Excellence".

The Materials Physics section is in charge of the teaching of Physics and Mathematics in the Faculty of Chemistry of the Basque Country University in San Sebastian. The Material Physics section also leads the postgraduate programs: "Master in Nanoscience" and the PhD Program "Physics of nanostructures and advanced materials".
