Doctoral thesis with the qualification of Outstanding Cum Laude at the University of Barcelona (2006) and Extraordinary Doctorate Award (2008). Postdoctoral stage at the Institut Curie, and the Commissariat à l'Energie Atomique (CEA), a leading French strategic center in research, defense and nuclear deterrence. Now I am Ramón y Cajal researcher at the Achucarro Basque Center for Neuroscience (center of excellence in the Basque Country) and researcher of the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU).
I have participated in several research projects whose global financing amount to €959,984. External reviewer of the State Research Agency (former ANEP) I evaluated individual and coordinated research projects for both public (Spanish Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness) and private entities and foundations. From 2013 to 2017 I had the qualifications of Maître de Conférences issued by the French Ministry of Higher Education and of Research for sections 65&69 (Cell Biology and Neurosciences). Furthermore, I am authorized by both ANECA and UniBasq to be lecturer. Teaching experience in UPV/EHU Master programs and the UB practices of medicine degree. I also participated as lecturer of the DIMI-European Network of Excellence course: Animal models for the study of neurological diseases: histological, molecular, and biochemical hallmarks” (2006) and I have been invited as a lecturer by the CoR of the Colegio de España (CiuP-Paris).
