Doctoral Programme in Economic Integration

Economic globalisation has radically transformed the economic structure of countries and their regions, having an impact on their natural environment. Economies have ended up taking on a global dimension that has changed their micro and macroeconomic results. National regulation mechanisms are limited in their effectiveness, which is leading to a need to delve further into the integration processes by implementing economic collaboration mechanisms that strive to create supranational economic spaces.

The objective of the Doctoral Programme in Economic Integration is to meet the requirements for post-graduate training that specialises in the study of these globalisation/integration processes, the impact they have on the affected economies, and the responses that aim to deal with this impact, including both a regional and a local perspective.

The teaching staff as a whole have extensive and proven research experience in Globalisation and International Economics, Institutions, Economic Policy, Social Policies, Poverty Measurement, Labour Economics, Game Theory Applied to Economics, Globalisation and Competitiveness, Natural Resource Economics, Regional and Urban Economics, Data Science Applied to Economics, and Economic Impact of Emerging Technologies.
