This group is part of the following international networks:

 

- SUB-GLOBAL ASSESSMENT NETWORK (SGA)

The Sub-Global Assessment Network (SGA)  is working to consolidate a common platform for professionals (persons and organizations) who participate in the Millennium Ecosystem Assessment at a regional, sub-regional, national and sub-national scale. The aim is to promote and provide the improvement in execution capacity and the use of the assessments.

 

- ECOSYSTEM SERVICE PARTNERSHIP (ESP)

The Ecosystems Service Partnership is a network organisation that connects researchers who are working toward better understanding and application of the concept of ‘ecosystem services' to NGOs, environmental agencies, educators, policymakers, politicians, and the general public, to implement best practices for managing ecosystem services and maintain and enhance our Natural Capital. Currently, over 50 organisations and more than 200 individuals are members of the Ecosystem Services Partnership.

 

-INTERGOVERNMENTAL PLATFORM ON BIODIVERSITY AND ECOSYSTEM SERVICES (IPBES)

The Intergovernmental Platform on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services (IPBES) has been created to be an interface between the scientific community and policymakers that aims at building capacity for and strengthen the use of science in policymaking.

 

ENVIRONMENTAL CONFERENCE OF THE REGIONS OF EUROPE (ENCORE)

This network seeks cooperation among regional Ministers of the Environment in Europe, with the final objective to contribute to the effective implementation of European environmental policy, enhance environmental governance and promote sustainable development of the regions of Europe.

This network has gained international weight, increasing their ability to influence environmental decisions taking the countries of the European Union.

Euskadi leads the alliance "Ecosystem services, land use and territorial planning."

 

EUROPEAN NETWORK ON ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION ON SUSTAINBLE DEVELOPMENT (COPERNICUS ALLIANCE) 

The vision of the Copernicus Alliance is to promote the role of sustainable development in the European Higher Education to improve education and research in sustainability in partnership with society.
