Our research is set in the Department of Physiology at the Faculty of Medicine and Nursing. We are a highly motivated group so that at the same time that we do research are involved in teaching graduate students some skills to get into research. We are also very active in the professional development of young researchers in the field of Biosciences. We have created and we keep active a net of external collaborators of international relevance. Our interest in translational research has led us to get involved in Biocruces Health Research Institute.  We are also motivated to introduce our results and experience in some SME companies.

The Lipids&Liver group is recognized as a "Consolidated team" by the Basque Government Department of Education since 2007.
