Research Interests

- Detection of quantum entanglement

Mathematical aspects of identifying entangled quantum states, entanglement witness operators, nonlinear entanglement criteria. Detection of genuine multipartite entanglement. Entanglement detection with few local measurements. Entanglement detection with collective measurements. Spin squeezing entanglement criteria.

- Quantum optical systems

Experimental creation and detection of entanglement in quantum optical systems, such as optical lattices of cold atoms. Creation of singlet states via spin squeezing in cold atomic ensembles. Creation and detection of various entangled states in photonic systems such as cluster states, graph states and symmetric Dicke states.

- Theory of quantum entanglement

Bound entanglement: Entangled states with a positive partial tranpose. Bound entanglement in spin systems in thermal equilibrium. Bound entanglement in symmetric systems.

- Foundations of quantum mechanics

Bell inequalities and local hidden variable models. Bell inequalities for cluster states and graph states. Local hidden variable models for multipartite quantum states.
