Specifically, the Chair has provided the data required for the development of the infographic pertaining to SDG 15: Life on Land.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">Of the data that appear in the infographic, the following are particularly worth highlighting:<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">.- Upon assessing the land ecosystems in Bizkaia, we found that: 71% is woodland, 19% agricultural land and 9% urban spaces.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">.- Although they represent 80% of all potential vegetation in <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/Bizkaia?src=hashtag_click\">Bizkaia<\/a>, natural forests (oak and beech) only occupy 13% of the province, while 46% of the surface area is occupied by plantations of exotic species (mainly pine and eucalyptus).<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\">.- 89% of woodland areas in Bizkaia are not protected.<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.ehu.eus\/cdsea\/web\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/ODS15.pdf\"><strong>Download the<\/strong> <strong>infographic for SDG 15<\/strong><\/a><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12pt;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.ehu.eus\/cdsea\/web\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/Infograf\u00edas-ODS-Bizkaia-2019.pdf\"><span style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Download the complete document with all infographics<\/strong><\/span><\/a><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>INFOGRAPHICS OF THE 17 SDGs OF THE 2030 AGENDA The UNESCO Chair has collaborated with BBK-Behatokia and UNESCO Etxea in the development of infographics for the 17 SDGs of the 2030 Agenda and how they can be achieved in Bizkaia.
