{"id":12078,"date":"2017-02-27T15:39:32","date_gmt":"2017-02-27T13:39:32","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.ehu.eus\/chemistry\/theory\/?p=12078"},"modified":"2025-05-06T11:06:41","modified_gmt":"2025-05-06T09:06:41","slug":"doctorate-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ehu.eus\/chemistry\/theory\/5_kt-seminars\/doctorate-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Doctorate"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.ehu.es\/chemistry\/theory\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/Joint_doctorate.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-8946\" src=\"http:\/\/www.ehu.es\/chemistry\/theory\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/Joint_doctorate.png\" alt=\"Joint_doctorate\" width=\"944\" height=\"284\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.ehu.eus\/chemistry\/theory\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/Joint_doctorate.png 944w, https:\/\/www.ehu.eus\/chemistry\/theory\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/Joint_doctorate-300x90.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 944px) 100vw, 944px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ehu.eus\/en\/web\/doktoregoa\/doctorate-theoretical-chemistry-computational-modelling\">JOINT DOCTORATE THEORETICAL CHEMISTRY AND COMPUTATIONAL MODELLING<\/a><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span id=\"result_box\" class=\"\" lang=\"en\"><span class=\"hps\">Doctoral studies<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">are intended<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">to provide advanced training<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">in<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">research.<\/span> In this period <\/span><span id=\"result_box\" class=\"\" lang=\"en\"><span class=\"hps\">new researchers<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">are formed as<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">to enable them to<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">successfully meet<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">the challenge of<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">the generation<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">and transfer<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">of knowledge<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">to society and<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">to the production network<\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"hps\">In the new<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">structure adapted<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">to the EEES,<\/span> a new researcher will have access to the <span class=\"hps\">PhD<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">after<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">having completed<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">a minimum of 300<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">ECTS<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">credits<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">in university<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">undergraduate and<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">master studies<\/span>. <span class=\"hps\">Therefore<\/span>, depending on the <span class=\"hps\">type of degree<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">and<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">Master earned<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">the<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">Doctorate<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">Academic Committee<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">may require<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">the completion of<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">subjects, courses<\/span>, seminars, etc. <span class=\"hps\">necessary to complete the<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">prior learning<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">of students<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">who wants to carry out the PhD thesis<\/span>.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"hps\">The PhD period<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">has no<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">regulated training<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">period<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">and <\/span><span class=\"hps\">fixed <\/span><span class=\"hps\">duration<\/span>, <span class=\"hps\">but<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">a research period<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">of<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">3-5 years. During this period the PhD candidate could attend other courses and seminars<\/span>.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"hps\">This<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">Doctorate Program<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">is<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">awarded the<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">Mention<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">towards Excellence<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">by the Ministry<\/span> <span class=\"hps\">of Education.
