Bilbao, Spain<br \/>\nTel: +34 94 601 40 89<br \/>\nemail:\u00a0<a title=\"mailto:charles.pinto@ehu.es\" href=\"mailto:charles.pinto@ehu.es\">charles.pinto@ehu.es<\/a><br \/>\nWeb:\u00a0<a title=\"http:\/\/www.ehu.es\/compmech\" href=\"http:\/\/www.ehu.es\/compmech\">http:\/\/www.ehu.es\/compmech<\/a><\/p>\n<p><span id=\"badgeCont211496\" style=\"width: 126px;\"><script src=\"http:\/\/labs.researcherid.com\/mashlets?el=badgeCont211496&amp;mashlet=badge&amp;showTitle=false&amp;className=a&amp;rid=G-9909-2015\"><\/script><\/span><br \/>\n<a title=\"\" href=\"https:\/\/orcid.org\/0000-0002-0630-8888\">ORCID<\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Charles Pinto received the Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Faculty of Engineering in Valenciennes (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.univ-valenciennes.fr\/ensiame\/\">ENSIMEV<\/a>), France in 1993, the D.E.A. in Mechanical\u00a0Design from the University of Valenciennes (<a title=\"University of Valenciennes\" href=\"http:\/\/www.univ-valenciennes.fr\/\">UVHC<\/a>), France in 1994, and the Ph.D. degree in mechanical Engineering from the University of the Basque Country (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ehu.eus\/en\/web\/guest\/en-home\">UPV\/EHU<\/a>), Bilbao, Spain in 2001.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Since 2017, he obtained the position of Full Professor in Department of Mechanical Engineering, at the Faculty of Engineering of the University of the Basque Country (UPV\/EHU).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Currently\u00a0he is the Dean at the <a title=\"Faculty of Engineering in Bilbao - International Relations Office\" href=\"http:\/\/www.ehu.eus\/es\/web\/ingeniaritza-bilbao\/international-relations-\/-nazioarteko-harremanak\">Faculty of Engineering in Bilbao<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">His research interests are Kinematics and Dynamics in Parallel Kinematics Machines, Prototyping and Design of Manipulators and Robots, Computational Mechanics and Numerical Analysis of Structural Problems via Finite Elements Method (FEM). and the application of computational methods to these problems. Additionnaly, from academic year 2008\/09, he is one of the Faculties Advisor of the Project-Based Learning <a href=\"http:\/\/fsbizkaia.com\">Formula Student Bizkaia<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>He is <a title=\"Asociaci\u00f3n Espa\u00f1ola de Ingenier\u00eda Mec\u00e1nica\" href=\"http:\/\/http:\/\/www.asoc-aeim.es\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">AEIM<\/a>, <a title=\"SOCIEDAD DE T\u00c9CNICOS DE AUTOMOCI\u00d3N\" href=\"http:\/\/http:\/\/www.stauto.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">STA<\/a>, <a title=\"The American Society of Mechanical Engineers \" href=\"http:\/\/http:\/\/www.asme.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">ASME<\/a> and <a title=\"the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers\" href=\"http:\/\/www.ieee.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">IEEE<\/a> member, and member of the <a title=\"TC-CK IFToMM\" href=\"http:\/\/www.iftomm.org\/index.php?option=com_iftommmembers&amp;view=memberslisting&amp;list=2&amp;tcpc=tc&amp;tit=Technical%20Committees&amp;Itemid=120#Technical_Committee_for_Computational_Kinematics\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">IFToMM<\/a> Technical Committee for Computational Kinematics.
