Throughout the year broad topic such as Services and utilities will be analyzed. These topics have a growing implication (technical, legal, economical and aesthetical) in the architecture.

As architects we should have a global and integrational view of Building. Letting those spaces to be secure, healthy-habitable, confortable and usable for what they have been conceived. In order to do this, we will be deepening in the basic principles of design, dimensioning, systems, elements and materials

MethodologyToggle Navigation

The class follows the PBL (Project Based Learning) learning cooperative methodology based in projects, following ERAGIN. It will consist on the development of a Project in groups, triggered by a motor question, the definition of a scenario and the information sources.

Many activity types, coherent with the PBL methodology will be used, such as previous knowledge questions, group auto-validation, personal portfolio construction, the brainstorming, preparation od posters, presentations and public expositions, technical talks by guest talkers, contrasting pairs, directed discussions and debates, cooperative activities such as puzzles and exercises, collaboration forums on the virtual e-gela platform, individual minimum knowledge evaluation tests and personal deliveries.

The class has both a theoretical and a practical part, both worth 50%. The overall grade will be the average grade between the two. (when there is no grade lower that 3):

1. EXAM(people not taking the class for the first time as well). Minimum required grades for passing 3.

2. PRACTICE: The mail class paper will be worth 60%, and 40% for the unified workshop. There will only be one average grade (not less than a 3 will be asked)

SEMESTER GRADE WILL BE THE ARITHMETIC AVERAGE OF BOTH OBTAINED GRADES.

Note: for the unified workshop grade, the overall workshop will have to be delivered. Even if the student is not registered in projects V, all the workshops material will be developed.

If the student is taking the class for a second time, and if he/she is not registered in Proyects V, previos years imprived practices will be demanded and delivered.
