Endoscopy Room 1

The history of endoscopy begins about the middle of the twentieth century when physicians were able to visualize the body's interior by introducing tubes, lens, and light emitting diodes. The Room contains a bronchoscopy and an esofagoscopy from the 1910's; rectoscopes; rigid, semi-rigid and flexible gastroscopes; ophthalmoscopes; otoscopes; specula; etc.
