On 13, 14 and 15 November 2019, the Bizkaia Aretoa of Bilbao city will host the XVIII International Congress of the Asociación Española de Semiótica, II International Congress of the Asociación Ibérica de Semiótica, and IX International Congress of the Department of Audiovisual Communication and Advertising of the University of the Basque Country UPV / EHU.

This time, the Congress is titled The Other, the Same. Figures and Discourses of Alterity. 

As you know, the journal Signa will devote a special issue to alterity in which a selection of 15 papers presented at this conference will be published. Papers, whose length should not exceed 5,000 words, must be delivered before December 15, 2019, and they will be subject to evaluation by experts from the International Scientific Committee of Signa, that is why is so important to follow the rules of editing.

Signa, a scientific journal directed by José Romera Castillo, Honorary President of the AES, first appeared in 1992. It is annual and it is published in paper and electronic format. His prestige is unquestionable. Signa is in international citation indexes and databases (Arts & Humanities Citation Index, Latindex, EBSCO, MIAR, MLA, Scopus, SCImago and Ulrich's), and also in national ones (ANEP, Dialnet (CIRC), DICE, Dulcinea, IN-RECH, ISOC and RESH), and meets 17 of 18 CNEAI criteria, 21 of 22 ANECA criteria, and 33 of 33 Latindex criteria.
