MISSION: Strengthening Neuroscience by attracting and including students, providing them the training, research experience and mentoring they need to become leaders in research and in the field of education.

VIEW: The Neuroscience Interuniversity DP aims to be a catalyst for Neuroscience research in cooperation with universities and research centres, being committed to excellence thanks to the proven ability of the DP with mention in Excellence it originates from, and participation thereof in improving Neuroscience, which is recognised by society and governments.

This is probably the best of times to undertake any business that means dwelling into the knowledge of our minds, disseminating what we know about the problems of the brain and providing the best of care possibilities. A key part of this momentum is determined by the interdisciplinary nature of Neuroscience, which has managed to integrate classical anatomical techniques with modern techniques in imaging, in molecular biology, genetics, electrophysiology, pharmacology and behaviour to face problems of enormous complexity that require the use of complementary and development tools of the appropriate technology. The Doctoral Programme covers almost all areas of specialisation in Neuroscience, and offers tremendous opportunities given the variety and quality of the research groups involved and the scheme of international contacts it entails.
