On 30th May 2025 the UPV/EHU will hold an Investiture Ceremony for all the new Doctors who defended their theses in 2024. The Vice-chancellor of the University of the Basque Country, Joxerramon Bengoetxea Caballero, will lead the ceremony, which will start at 5 p.m. in the Aula Magna of the University of the Basque Country, Leioa, and is expected to last for at least three hours.

The new doctors who defended their theses in 2024 and who wish to attend the Investiture Ceremony must register using the following form, which will be available up to, and including, 30 April 2025. No applications will be accepted after this date.

The Doctoral School will provide all the new doctors with an academic gown on the day of the investiture ceremony. For this reason, all attendees must be punctual and arrive at the Aula Magna at 3:45 p.m., where they will be given further instructions by the organisers.

The organisation will give the new doctors their guest invitation once they have put on their academic gown. The accompanying guest will be required to show this invitation when entering the auditorium. The organisation will contact the new doctors to give the appropriate indications via e-mail.

A photographer will cover the entire event, taking both individual and group photographs.
