He is Professor of Physiology at the UPV / EHU since 2017. During his career he has directed 11 doctoral theses and has published 69 articles in indexed international journals (registration https://orcid.org/0000-0002-9084-8392), has more than 120 papers in scientific congresses, and has participated in 30 research projects of competitive calls, being main investigator in 10 of them. Since 2015, he is responsible for the University Master in Healthy Aging and Quality of Life of the UPV / EHU. In university management, he has held the positions of Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Nursing, Director of Teaching and Research Staff of the UPV / EHU and Vice-Rector for Academic Organizacion and Vice-Rector for Teaching and Research Staff of the UPV/EHU.
