She is Full Professorat the University of the Basque Country in the Faculty of Economics and Business, where she teaches in the area of Financial Economics and Accounting in grade, master and doctorate levels.
She has been Vice-Rector for Social Responsibility and University Projection (2009-2013) and for Outreach and Knowledge Transfer (2013-2017). Currently, she is member of the Academic Committee of the Master in Business Management from Innovation and Internationalization, as well as the Academic Committee of the Doctorate Program in Business Management, Knowledge and Innovation.
She is the principal research of the Group "Governance, Entrepreneurship and Family Business" (Number IT1641-22). She is senior researcher and co-founder of the Chair of Family Business of the UPV/EHU in collaboration with the DFB. Moreover, she collaborates with the research group of the University of Vigo "Organización del Conocimiento".
She has extensive research experience in the field of family firms' governance and management. Her work analyzes factors that favor the continuity and competitiveness of these firms from an economic, sustainable and governance approach.
