Bachelor in Chemical Science, Industrial Chemistry Specialty Field (1991); Bachelor Degree in Science (1991); Doctor in Science, Chemical Section (1996), UPV/EHU.
Teaching activity. 24 years teaching subjects of Degree (Chemistry and Chemical Engineering) and 12 years in Master (Chemical Engineering). Professor of University since 2003. 4 teaching five-year periods. Direction/codirection of 4 Doctoral Theses, 2 Bachelor Theses and 26 Final Degree/Master's Works. 15 teaching publications. 22 presentations at teacher training conferences.
Research. Development of thermal and catalytic processes for energy and environmental applications, Bio-refinery, Refinery of Residues. Since 1990 member of the research group "Catalytic Processes and Waste Recovery" (Group A of the Basque University System). 4 periods of six years for research (CNEAI). Participation in 47 research projects funded by different organizations (European Union, Ministries, Basque Government, UPV/EHU), and in 14 contracts financed by different companies. Author of more than 50 articles indexed in the JCR (90% in the first quartile), 32 not indexed scientific publications, 4 book chapters, and more than 150 communications to congresses. Reviewer of articles in more tan 50 scientific journals.
Representative in Statutory Commissions. Academic Secretary of the Chemical Engineering Department (2013-2017). Coordinator of the Degree in Chemical Engineering (2017 to present).
