PhD in Economics (1999) at The University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU) and Professor in Economics since 1992 with a positive evaluation in Docentiaz (Teaching Assessment Program, 2017). He has been Vicedean of International Relations for several years and the Coordinator of the Undergraduate Degree in Economics in the Faculty of Economics and Business (UPV/EHU).
He has taken part as visiting professor in the Master Program of the IAE in Lyon III since 2011, he has taken part in numerous national and European research projects, he is the co-author of more than 30 scientific articles, 10 book chapters and many papers in national and international conferences. He has two scientific accreditations by the Spanish Scientific Committee, he has been co-supervisor of several Thesis (an international one too) and takes part as an external referee in several journals. His main research areas are in International Economics, more specifically in Foreign Direct Investment and the Multinational Enterprise and in Macroeconomic Policy too (specially Monetary Policy).
