Marta Escapa is Associate Professor at the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU) and Associate Researcher at BC3 (Basque Centre for Climate Change). Her research and teaching activity has developed in the area of Economic Analysis and, specifically, in Environmental and Resource Economics. Her teaching experience covers both undergraduate and graduate courses on Natural Resource Economics and Environmental Economics and her research has focused on issues like: International Environmental Agreements; Intergenerational Dimension of Climate Change, Economic Analysis of Fisheries Management; Environmental Fiscal Reform and Unemployment; Solid Waste Management using System Dynamics; Energy Efficiency at household level. The main results from this research have been published in peer review journals with impact factor (JCR) like: Journal of Environmental Economics and Management, Environmental and Resource Economics, Energy Economics, Marine Policy, Ecological Economics and Waste Management. She has participated in several competitive projects at regional, national and international level. She has received “Excelence” in the Docentiaz Programme of the UPV/EHU (from 2009/10 to 2014/15 and from 2015/16 to 2019/2020). She has lead a Teaching Innovation Project about the use of Role-Play Games applied to Climate Change as learning tools.
