Pablo Eguia has a MSc in Industrial Engineering, mention in electricity, (1998) by the UPV/EHU and a PhD in Industrial Engineering (2007) by the same university. He is a principal researcher of the GISEL group. He has participated in 29 research projects in competitive public calls and more than 60 with companies. During the last years his activity is focused on the modeling of electrical systems for the integration of renewable generation, collaborating actively with several companies in the renewable energy sector in the Basque Country. He is co-director of three doctoral theses, co-author of 20 articles in indexed journals, more than 90 papers at international conferences, 9 book chapters and 2 international CIGRE reports. He is a member of IEEE and CIGRE, and he has participated in several international working groups in the field of regulation and power system protection. He is a reviewer of several international journals (IEEE PWRD, IEEE PWRS, Energy, etc.). Dr. Eguia has 3 six-year terms and he holds the Euskoiker 2010 research award in the area of Engineering and Technology.
