Estefanía Planas received the M.Sc. degree in industrial electronic and automatic engineering and the Ph.D. degree in power electronics from the University of the Basque Country, UPV/EHU in 2008 and 2013 respectively.
Since 2009, she was with the Applied Electronic Research Group, UPV/EHU, where she completed his pre-doctoral formation (2009-2013). Also since 2014, she has been an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electric Engineering, University of the Basque Country.
APERT research team is well established, and has been positively evaluated by the ANEP and also recognized as A grade group in the 2016 call for consolidated groups supported by the Basque Government. Nowadays she supervises 2 doctoral theses and heads several research project funded by i-DE (Iberdrola group) among other enterprises. She represents the UPV/EHU at the Global Smart Grids Innovation Hub and is the director of Ekaia Zientzia eta Teknologia Journal.
She is author of 6 articles in indexed scientific journals (6 Q1), 3 divulgation articles and 25 conference communications. She has participated as a researcher in 18 projects. Other activities include her participation as an editor in the journal of the University of the Basque Country Ekaia.
