Telecommunications Engineer (2001) and doctor (2005) is a professor at the UPV/EHU since 2001. Since 2019 he has been a full professor.From 2020 he is the head of the Electronics Technology department.
He is a member of the Apert group (group A of the Basque university system). He has directed 4 doctoral theses. He has participated in 55 public and 52 private projects, being Main Researcher in 9 public and 15 private projects. He is co-author of 4 patents.
He is co-author of 43 articles in international journals, 81 contributions in international conferences and two teaching books. He has 33 six-year terms recognized by CENAI. His research focuses on high-speed processing architectures in FPGAs, industrial communications circuits and SmartGrid.
