Engineering Physics is the area of knowledge in which Engineering and Physics overlap, where technological development occurs. So it is only logical that its field of action is more directly related to areas of modern physics and their associated technologies, as they are undergoing expansion, than to areas related to traditional technology. The objective of this doctorate is to provide students with the necessary tools to be able to develop a professional career focused on research, development and innovation, i.e. on subjects that are undergoing expansion and development, which are: Mathematical Physics, Applied Physics, Nuclear and Radiological Engineering, Advanced Instrumentation and Control, Electronic and Information Technology.

The doctor in Engineering Physics will be ready to work at the forefront of technological developments. This speciality, in general, can be characterised by the applications of multidisciplinary physical procedures and often specialised to focus on a wide variety of technical problems.
