Estibaliz Saez de Camara Oleaga is a professor in the area of Environmental Technologies at the Faculty of Engineering of Bilbao and a researcher at the Atmospheric Research Group (GIA) of the UPV/EHU. She obtained a Ph.D. in Environmental Engineering in 2011. Since then she carried out an intense research activity in the field of Atmospheric Pollution (meteorological and air quality modeling), she has participated in several european and national projects and contracts with administration & companies, which derived in articles in JCR indexed journals and technical reports. She has gained recognition for six years of international-quality by UNIBASQ.
She teaches in different degrees and postgraduate degrees in Spanish, Basque and English. She has directed 3 Innovation Projects and she coordinates the structured teaching team IKD-IN3.
She has made several research stays: University of Nevada and University of Aalborg and Paul Scherrer Institute (Switzerland).
Since 2017, she is the Head of Sustainability of the UPV/ EHU. In addition, she is a member of the Council for Development Cooperation of the university, the Council for Cooperation of the Basque Government and the asvisory board of the Spanish Network for Sustainable Development (REDS).
