During the last 25 years he has maintained an uninterrupted activity both in the teaching and research fields, focused on the area of Anthropogenetics. The knowledge of the intra- and interpopulation genetic heterogeneity of our species, its measurement and the analysis of the effects of the processes of population and crossbreeding on this heterogeneity are the main objective of this activity. Different data have been used, including biodemographic files and genetic markers of various kinds, such as immunoglobulin allotypes, Alu insertions, STRs, mitochondrial DNA, SNPs, etc. Data and samples from numerous populations from different continents have been analysed, including the Basque Country, Navarra, Guadalajara, Valencia, Belgium, Italy, Portugal, Venezuela, Colombia, Argentina, Ecuador, Catar, Georgia and India, considering different historical, cultural and geographical environments. This has allowed him to establish collaborations with researchers from different countries in the United States, Great Britain, France, Italy, Argentina and Venezuela.
