Degree in Pharmacy and PhD from the University of the Basque Country UPV/EHU. She obtained a Predoctoral Fellowship for the training of research personnel at the UPV/EHU. She is currently vice-dean of students and mobility in the Faculty of Medicine and Nursing, Coordinator of the Medicine Section of the Department of Immunology, Microbiology and Parasitology, and Course Coordinator. Associate Professor of Microbiology with excellent evaluation in the Docentiaz teaching program. She has participated in 3 educational innovation projects and she is part of the IKD structured teaching team called Teaching team for Biosanitary multidisciplinary teaching .

Her research activity in the Department of Immunology, Microbiology and Parasitology of the Faculty of Medicine and Nursing is developed in the group Candidiasis and other human infections associated with microbial biofilms (GIC 15 78 IT 990-16) catalogued as Consolidated Research Group type A of the Basque University System. (www.ehu.eus/canbio). She has participated in 17 research projects from which several publications, book chapters and communications in national and international congresses have derived. In recent years, she has directed 2 doctoral theses, 7 master theses and 11 degree ending projects.

She participates in scientific outreach activities such as zientzia astea and zientzia azoka, and she has been part of the Bizilabe project, a research center in leisure spaces aimed at young people (STEAM workshops).
