M.D. University of the Basque Country (Spain) and PhD in Microbiology (UPV/EHU, Spain). Specialist in Microbiology and Parasitology (MIR). I have developed my teaching work mainly in the Degree of Medicine, in the area of Immunology and Medical/Clinical Microbiology, as well as in the Doctorate programme of the Department and in the Master's Degree in Microbiology and Health. I have directed End of Degree projects, End of Master projects and doctoral thesis. I have also participated as coordinator and speaker in summer courses and updating sessions on vaccines and vaccination. The research carried out has been in the field of clinical microbiology, immunology and, in recent years, in the group Candidiasis and other infections associated with biofilms, studying molecules with an antifungal effect on Candida spp. biofilms, as well as in vivo models for the study of Candida infections.
