Ismael Etxeberria-Agiriano has a Bachelor Degree in Electronics, a Bachelor Degree in Computer Systems Engineering and a Degree in Computer Engineering from Mondragon Unibertsitatea. He has a PhD in Computer Science from Staffordshire University (United Kingdom).
His main areas of interest are Artificial Intelligence, Applied Ethics, Information Security, Distributed Systems and ICTs. He has been lecturer at Staffordshire University and at Mondragon Unibertsitatea. He worked for three years as a consultant for Crédit Lyonnais in Paris (France) and continued working on financial applications for three more years before returning to education to the Department of Computer Languages and Systems at the School of Engineering of Vitoria-Gasteiz (UPV/EHU) where he has continued since 2005.
He is currently a lecturer of (1st) Programming Methodology, (2nd) Languages, Computing and Intelligent Systems and (3rd) Information Systems Security Management Systems in the Degree in Computer Engineering in Management and Information Systems.
