Industrial Engineer since 1990. Ph.d. in Industrial Engineering from 1998. Professor at the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU) since 1992 in Construction Engineering, in the Faculty of Engineering in Bilbao. He teaches subjects in the areas of construction techniques, facilities of buildings, architectural envelopes and urban planning. He is a member of the consolidated Basque Government research group IT781-13. He has actively participated in state, regional and european research projects. He has 28 papers of scientific impact and more than 45 contributions in Congress, related to the performance of the facades of the buildings, high-performance concretes and the sustainable design of buildings and building systems. Co-Director of 9 Doctoral Theses.
