Iñaki Eizmendi received his M.S. and PhD Degree in Telecommunications Engineering from the UPV/EHU in 1994 and 2012 respectively.
He has worked as an R&D engineer in several companies: Robotiker (now Tecnalia), ZIV aplicaciones y tecnología, Ericsson.
He worked as part-time professor at the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Deusto (2001-2003).
Since 2003 he is full-time professor in the Communications Engineering Department of the UPV/EHU. He belongs to the Signal Processing and Radiocommunications (TSR) research group in the same department. His research focuses on new digital broadcasting technologies (DVB-T2, ATSC 3.0), 5G networks, IoT networks and digital communications in general.
Within the department. of Communications Engineering he teaches in the area of knowledge of Signal Theory and Communications, in the second year of the Degree in Telecommunications Technology Engineering, in the subject Communication Theory, and in the first year of the Master's Degree in Telecommunications Engineering, in the subject Advanced Design of Radiocommunications.
In September 2016 he was appointed academic secretary of the department, position in which he continues, and since September 2017 he is coordinator of the degree in Telecommunications Technology Engineering.
