Pablo Angueira received the PhD in Telecommunication Engineering from the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU) (Spain) in 2002. He is currently a Full Professor of the Dpt. of Communications Engineering (UPV/EHU). He has been visiting profesor at the Peter the Great Saint Petersburg Politechnich Univesity (Russia) and the Universita degli Studi di Cagliari (Italy). He has been involved in research on wireless systems for more than 20 years and has authored an extensive list of papers in international peer-reviewed journals (>65), and a large number of conference presentations (>120). He has supervised 11 PhD dissertations and more than 70 BsC and MsC thesis dissertations. He has also coauthored several contributions to different regulatory bodies (ITU-R, ABU, EBU, DVB, DRM, ATSC).
His main research interest is in the field of signal processing for Wireless systems and network planning/spectrum management applied to different fields: mostly on digital terrestrial broadcasting and recently on industrial wireless systems and factory automation applications.
Dr. Angueira is the Chair of the IEEE BTS Publications Committee, an Associate Editor of the IEEE Transactions on Broadcasting and part of the IEEE BMSB International Steering Committee. He is a member of the Administrative Committee of the IEEE BTS.
