Igor Camino Ortiz de Barrón is a Full Professor from the University of the Basque Country (UBC). He belongs to the Theory and History of Education Department, and He performs his teaching and research work at the Education and Sport Faculty. He has got a PhD in Pedagogy and his research activity has focused on the History of Education in the Basque Country, especially in the field of secondary education. His involvement and experience in the academic management has enabled his research activity, in recent years, has been related to the use of active methodologies and, more specifically, the development of critical thinking. He is a researcher of the consolidated research group PSIKOR since 2012; since that same year he is also coordinator of the Peer Tutoring Plan. He has been director of the journal Tantak (Journal of Education of the UBC) from 2013 to 2017.
