José Manuel Martín Osante is Professor of Commercial Law at the Faculty of Law of the University of the Basque Country, and has been Professor of Commercial Law at the aforementioned University for more than 20 years. He teaches undergraduate, master's and doctoral degrees in various Spanish and foreign universities (among other countries, in Cape Verde, Colombia, El Salvador, France, Guatemala and Italy), and is a regular speaker at national and international conferences.
His main lines of research are: Maritime Law, Transport Law, Insurance Law, Insolvency Law and Competition Law. It presents multiple publications in its different lines of research, recognized with four six-year periods of research.
Likewise, he has participated in more than twenty competitive research projects, being the Principal Investigator in many of them. Likewise, it is part of the consolidated Research Group recognized by the Basque Government.
In this line, he has prepared various legal reports, among other organizations, for the United Nations and has participated as an advisor in different legislative processes, having a six-year transfer period recognized.
On the other hand, he is the Executive Director of the Spanish Journal of Transport Law (http://www.revistaderechotransporte.com).
Finally, note that he has worked for five years in the Administration of Justice as Judicial Secretary.
