Since the publication of my thesis (Edition and study of the Latin documentation of Sancho VI of Navarre), the lines of research that I have developed have been, fundamentally, the relationship between medieval Latin and Romance languages from the perspective offered by historical Sociolinguistics, the rhetorical-grammatical training of intellectuals in the Middle Ages and the evolution of late-antique and medieval rhetorical art. This third field has been the most productive in recent years and it has been the basis for the research projects in which I have participated. Currently, I have resumed the initial line of research,i.e., the analysis of diplomatic Latin, both from a lexicographic and stylistic-rhetorical point of view. My research work includes 5 books, 60 articles and papers and as many communications.

Along with the development of projects and publications , my teaching, both undergraduate/graduate and master, has also been linked to the fields mentioned. Among the first ones, I currently teach subjects such as Vulgar Latin, Classical Languages or Latin, the history of a language and a culture. In the Master and Doctorate courses I study the ancient and medieval Rhetoric, its evolution and survival today.
