Presentación-Doctorado en Derechos Humanos, Poderes Públicos, Unión Europea: Derecho Público y Privado

The scientific activity in this doctoral programme focuses on two key areas, namely: fundamental rights and the European Union. These two areas affect all branches of public and private law. From this perspective, it is important that the University respects the EU legal order, as the new legislation that affects all branches of law.

Furthermore, fundamental rights continue to be the cultural and legal basis in European states, which is reflected in their signing of the European Convention on Human Rights and the Charter of Fundamental Rights of the European Union. In turn, European policies operate in areas that are highly relevant for basic rights, from a wide range of perspectives, such as the policy on environmental matters and, more recently, social policies.
