Management Regulations for Official Masters
Article 21.- General regulations
Official Master's degrees from the University of the Basque Country will be issued by the Rector in a standard format and recorded in the Registry of Official University Degrees.
Article 22.- Procedure
1.- Requests for the issue of the relevant degrees can be presented at the administrative office of the school running the Master's programme, and must be accompanied by the following documentation:
- Standard application.
- Photocopy of national ID/passport.
- Proof of payment of the corresponding fees. Students exempt from fees will proceed in accordance with Article 8 of these Regulations.
- Certified photocopy of the degree used to access the Master's programme, or a photocopy and original thereof for comparison purposes, if this documentation was not presented at the time of enrolment in the Master's programme. Students who received said degree from the University of the Basque Country are not required to submit this documentation.
The administrative office of the school running the Master's programme will issue a certificate of payment of fees for the issue of the corresponding official Master's degree, which will have the same effect as possession of the degree until the degree has been delivered.
Delivery of degrees
1.- Once printed, the degree must be collected in person by the student from the administrative offices of the school running the Master's programme. If the student is unable to do so, he or she may authorise another person to collect the degree by power of attorney.
Notwithstanding the above, the student is entitled to request in writing that the administrative offices of the school running the Master's programme forward the degree to the Office of the Vice Rector at the Bizkaia campus, Gipuzkoa campus or Álava campus, or to the Provincial Office for Education and Culture, Education Office or Consular Office closest to his or her place of residence.
2.- The same procedure shall apply for duplicates.
Article 23.- Requesting certificates
Requests for certificates for courses and seminars must be made at the administrative offices of the school in charge of the Master's programme. Requests must be accompanied by the relevant documentation, details of which will be made available on the University of the Basque Country website and at offices established for this purpose by the school in charge of the Master's programme.
Article 24.- Public prices for the issue of degrees and certificates
Fees for certificates and official postgraduate degrees will be set by the Department for Education, Universities and Research of the Basque government.
These fees will be paid into one of the accounts indicated by the University of the Basque Country at the time the request is made.
