Brief description: The EU-funded G9NIGHT project will organise two major events motivated by the celebration of World Environment Day (5 June), World Oceans Day (8 June) and the European Year of Rail 2021. It will also base its activities on the main policy areas identified by the European Green Deal. These activities will be organised in more than a dozen cities across Spain. The overall aim of the project is to bring together researchers and the public, increase awareness of research and innovation and encourage young people to embark on scientific careers. G9NIGHT will also launch a campaign titled ‘Do your bit to keep Europe green and be an ambassador for climate action’ to promote individual actions on climate change.
