Abbreviated CV

Master of Science (Chemistry) from the University of Bilbao and PhD in Chemical Sciences from the University of the Basque Country / Euskal Herriko Unibersitatea. Since 1995 he has held a Professor in Chemical Engineering at the University of the Basque Country / EHU.

The research activity has been developed in the Chemical Engineering Department of the Faculty of Science and Technology. Since its creation, it has been part of the research group "Chemical Technologies for Environmental Sustainability, TQSA". The research lines are mainly related to the design of catalytic technologies, such as the removal of chlorinated volatile organic compounds; the recycling and / or recovery of plastic wastes by chemical processes; the production of hydrogen through catalytic reforming technologies; ... The work of his research is shown in numerous papers published highly-recognized journals, in the training of PhDs, and in the participation in projects and / or contracts with industries in the chemical sector .

In the field of teaching, he has participated in the implementation of the Bachelor's Degree and the Master's Degree in Chemical Engineering. The subjects taught in the old degrees as well as in the current Degree and Master, are mainly related to Fluid Mechanics, Heat Transmission, Environmental Engineering and Catalysis, mainly. He has also been the supervisor of various Bachelor Thesis and Final Degree Projects (old plans) and currently is involved in several works for the Bachelor's and Master's degrees.

In academic management, he has participated or participates in different university commissions (Departmental Coordinator Erasmus-Socrates, Representative in the Faculty and University faculty, member of the Commission of Studies of the Degree and the Master ...).
