From 2009 to 2013, I was contracted as a Post-Doctoral Researcher and later (until the end of 2016) as a Doctor Researcher (Law of Science) in the Catalytic Processes and Waste Valorization (CPWV) group at the Chemical Engineering Department (UPV/EHU). During the development of my scientific career I have participated in 13 competitive projects (funded by the UPV/EHU, Basque Government and different Ministries) and also in research contracts with several companies (Transfer of knowledge). The research lines have focused on: i) development of thermal and catalytic processes to obtain fuels through routes alternative to petroleum (Sustainable Refinery); ii) Valorization of oxygenates (methanol, ethanol, bio-oil) into fuels, H2 and raw chemicals (olefins, aromatics); iii) Selection of catalysts (acids, metallic and bifunctional), study of catalyst deactivation and regeneration, kinetic modeling and design/simulation of reactors. I am co-author of 47 publications in journals indexed in Scopus (with 1342 total citations and h-Factor = 19) and of 80 contributions in national and international congresses (29 oral and 51 poster). I have directed a Doctoral Thesis (Excellent-Cum Laude) and another that is currently under development. Since 2014, I combine my research work with teaching in different subjects of the degree in Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology (Experimentation in Chemical Engineering I and II, Separation Processes).
