7th World Congress of the International Society of Business Economics and Ethics (ISBEE 2020)

Re-inventing Globalization: Community, Virtues and the Power of Purpose

ISBEE World Congress postponed to July 2021

The ISBEE Executive Committee and the Bilbao Organizing committee have been monitoring the unprecedented global developments and the  implications of the coronavirus/COVID-19 outbreak. The decision has been taken to postpone the ISBEE World Congress in Bilbao for a year,  to July 2021. The tentative dates are July 14-16. While we regret the decision to postpone the current developments make any meeting of the  minds around the world impossible. Our first priority is the health  and safety of everyone in the global business ethics community and we  hope that 2021 will be a better year for humankind. Stay safe and stay  healthy!
More information will be available in due course from the conference website.

The seventh World Congress of the International Society of Business Economics and Ethics will be held in Bilbao, Spain, 15-18 July 2020. The principal venue will be at the University of the Basque Country and University of Deusto in Bilbao. Bilbao is home to the Frank Gehry-designed Guggenheim Museum.

Not long after it opened in 1997, the Guggenheim museum in Bilbao became a case study in urbanism, credited with transforming a declining industrial city into a sleek tourist destination. Few people know more about the “Guggenheim effect” than Miguel Zugaza, both then and now the director of the nearby Bilbao Fine Arts museum. Previously obscure, despite its splendid collection of Spanish masters, his museum now gets twice the 150,000 visitors a year it received in 2002.
